Low-Maintenance
The sill is made with three piece construction. The subsill is made of Fibrex® material, and the sill step is solid oak. The exterior sill is made of extruded aluminum with an attractive wear-resistant, heat-baked finish in a neutral color. This combination of materials combines durability and low maintenance with excellent insulating characteristics.
The exterior frame is fiberglass reinforced composite, which maintains an attractive appearance while minimizing maintenance, and attached to a water-repellent preservative-treated wood subframe for long-lasting protection ad performance.
A one-piece rubber weatherstrip provides maximum effectiveness against water and air infiltration.
Adjustable Hinges
Adjustable hinges are standard on inswing patio doors and have ball-bearing pivots for smooth, frictionless movement. Features easy horizontal and vertical adjustment, plus quick-release feature for easy panel removal. This release feature is ideal for transporting large units up stairs or to other hard-to-reach areas.
Maximum Strength
Mortise-and-tenon joints prevent panel sag and maintain smooth operation.
Enhanced Security
The multi-point locking system, with a hook bolt above and below the center dead bolt, provides a weathertight seal and enhanced security.

Exterior Keyed Lock
A six-pin key cylinder lock is available in styles and finishes that coordinate with hardware and allows the door to be locked and unlocked from the exterior.
Handle Extension
Extends interior door handle an additional 1" or 2" from the door panel to accommodate interior blinds or shades. Extenders are available in finishes that coordinate with hardware.
Strike Plate Extender
Used to extend the strike plate out covering the extension jamb for single-hinge doors.

Full Divided Light
Give your window an authentic look with grilles that are permanently applied to the interior and exterior of your window with an aluminum spacer between the glass.
Spacer Option for Greater Energy Efficiency
The Energy Spacer option is available to help A-Series products with full divided lights and SmartSun™ glass be ENERGY STAR® certified in the Northern climate zone. Its narrow design creates a 3mm gap around the spacer, helping to lower U-Factor values.
Simulated Divided Light
Simulated divided light offers permanent grilles on the exterior and and a choice of permanent or removable wood interior grilles, with no spacer between the glass.
Removable Interior Grille
Removable interior wood grilles are secured via a fastener or grille clip and can be removed enabling you to easily clean the glass surface.
Finelight Grilles Between-the-Glass
Finelight™ grilles are suspended between the panes of glass, allowing you to easily clean both the inside and outside of your windows and doors.

Blinds-Between-The-Glass
Convenient blinds-between-the-glass are available on select 400 Series hinged patio doors.
- White blinds are located between the panes of insulated glass, protected from dust and damage.
- Glass is easy to clean without the need to move the blinds.
- Cordless design to easily raise, lower or tilt blinds for control of light and privacy.
- Blinds are available on select hinged patio door sizes when ordered with a White, Sandtone, Terratone or Forest Green exterior and a Pine or prefinished White interior and Low-E4 tempered glass.

Insect Screens
All insect screens have a long-lasting fiberglass screen mesh with a charcoal finish and are color matched to the exterior of the door unless otherwise specified.
Gliding Insect Screen
Patented square corner joints add considerable strength to the frame members. The insect screen is available in a conventional gliding or a premium top-hung gliding design. The conventional insect screen has bottom rollers with self-contained leveling adjusters. The premium top-hung insect screen has silicone-embedded glide hooks that hang from the top of the screen track, allowing it to glide smoothly and effortlessly. Alignment rollers on the bottom of the insect screen keep it in place on the track while the perimeter bug seal helps ensure insects stay on the outside.
Retractable Insect Screen
The retractable insect screen is installed on the interior of the door across the width of the opening. When the insect screen is not in use, it neatly retracts into small canisters on each side of the door. Retractable insect screens are available for single-panel and two-panel doors with White, Gold Dust, pine, oak and maple finishes and six stains to match the interior of your door.

Available for single-panel hinged doors and two-panel jamb-hinged doors.
Double-Insect Screen Track
An extended insect screen track is available for jamb-hinged doors that use gliding insect screens.

Ramped Sill Insert
Ramped sills provide a smooth transition from interior to exterior and can be used with a retractable insect screen, but not a gliding insect screen.
Sill Support
An aluminum sill support is designed to lock into a channel under the sill and tie back into the wall. This will offer support to the outermost sill section when needed. Available in a neutral gray finish.
